The UBC Pathways to Medicine is a club run by current UBC Medical Students that offers equitable access and guidance to students who would like to learn more about the field of Medicine and BC’s only Medical School. Through events and programming, we would like to highlight the range of unique pathways students can take to end up in a career of medicine and provide support to students on this journey. Our main focus is to assist people from communities currently underrepresented in medicine and those who may face additional barriers as we believe that a pathway to medicine, no matter what that looks like, should be accessible by all.
This club will give you an opportunity to speak with current medical students each with a unique story of how they got into medicine, physicians, and others. It will also give you an opportunity to gain new skills to help with the medical school application process as well as provide information on all the steps from planning to application!
