The High School Student Science Week at the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation offers an immersive experience for 8 students who are invited to participate for one week in spring and fall. Located at UBC and St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, BC , the program provides hands-on laboratory sessions and seminars and exposure to various research methodologies in cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases. Students will engage in activities such as cell culture , PCR , and ELISA , and learn about biobanking and histology , all while gaining insight into real-life health solutions. The program is sponsored by the St. Paul's Foundation and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
